My book club friend in Boise said she skips the last chapter of every book to imagine her own ending.

I always thought that was crazy, but trying it with 'Klara and the Sun' made the story feel more personal. Has anyone else tried something like this?

My version of The Road ended with a grocery store opening.

Wait, she does that with every single book? That's wild.

It made the book feel like my own story.
