Our club split 7 to 5 over finishing 'Dune' or bailing at page 300, and I voted to bail
Twelve of us in the Austin club last Tuesday argued for an hour and half the group admitted later they never finished it either, so now I want to know if your club ever fesses up to quitting a book or just fakes it through the meeting.
Ha, I'd say faking it is way more common than people admit, half the fun of a club is the argument itself. But bailing at page 300 of Dune feels wrong, that book rewards you right around when most folks quit.
