The audio book club vote that split us down the middle
Our group spent 40 minutes arguing over whether the narrator's voice made or broke the book, so I finally just played clips from both versions side by side. One narrator sounded like a sleepy grandpa reading a grocery list, the other actually did distinct voices for each character. Honestly, the difference was night and day, the energy completely changed how I felt about the story itself. Has anyone else ever had narration totally flip their opinion on a book, or are we just picky weirdos?
