Switched from PVA to wheat paste for my spine linings and I'm never going back
I used to think PVA was the only way to go for strength, but I did a side by side test on two identical rebinds last month and the wheat paste one just handled way better. No more fighting with the book board slipping around and the paste gave me an extra 10 seconds of working time. Has anyone else tried mixing in a little methyl cellulose to slow down the drying even more?
