Lost my wallet on a bus in Barcelona and somehow got it back
I was riding the 24 bus near Park Guell last fall, dumb move I had my wallet in my back pocket. I stood up to get off and it must have slid out onto the seat, didn't realize until I was three blocks away and reaching for my phone. Panic set in hard because I had like 200 euros cash plus my bank cards and ID in there. I ran back to the bus stop but the bus was long gone, so I tracked down the bus terminal online and called their lost and found line. Some guy actually turned it in within two hours, said he saw it on the seat and figured a tourist dropped it. Everything was still there including the cash which shocked me honestly. Has anyone else had luck getting stuff back on public transit abroad or do I just got lucky?

Wait, the cash was still there? 200 euros just sitting in the wallet when they returned it? That's insane. I honestly assumed someone would've grabbed it and tossed the wallet in the trash. Guess Barcelona has some solid people.

dude that is honestly amazing. with 200 euros in there you'd think for sure some hungry person or even just a jerk would've pocketed it. i had my phone stolen right out of my hand on the metro in rome so i know that feeling of panic when stuff disappears in a foreign city. so glad it worked out for you seriously.
