My 'free' walking tour in Prague ended with me buying the guide a $12 beer to escape his terrible stand-up comedy routine.
Now I always check if 'free' tours have a set end point or if you're just funding someone's improv class, anyone got a better system for finding good ones?

Man, I used to just join any free tour that looked fun. After a Berlin tour that turned into a two-hour history lecture in a damp alley, I check the meeting point AND the listed end spot on their website. If there's no clear end, I skip it.
