Warning about that 'free walking tour' in Prague last month

I ended up paying 50 euros after the guide cornered us for a 'mandatory tip' that was NOT optional, so has anyone found a truly free one there?

Totally agree with the Sandemans point. They make it clear it's tip based but don't pressure you. That cornering tactic is just a straight up shakedown. Seen it happen to tourists before, they rely on people being too polite or scared to say no. You gotta be ready to walk away from that stuff, even if it feels rude. Real free tours survive on good will, not threats.

Wait, "mandatory tip" that was 50 euros? That's not a tip, that's a straight up scam. They cornered you? That's so aggressive. I did a Sandemans one years ago and they just said at the end that tips were how guides got paid, but no one forced anything. Sounds like you got a really bad one.
