Chef Mike and my grocery budget finally called it quits

Last month I got sick of dropping $14 on fast food for lunch three times a week, so I told myself I'd meal prep like a normal adult. I bought $60 worth of chicken, rice, and frozen veggies, then spent Sunday afternoon making eight sad little containers. By Wednesday I was staring at the same dry chicken bowl and almost caved, but I remembered the $4.50 burrito place down the street was hiring my willpower as its best customer. Instead I mixed in hot sauce and a handful of shredded cheese I already had, and somehow that got me through the week. The real win came when I added up my lunch spending for February, it was $38 total versus the usual $170. Now I'm trying to figure out if I can do this without hating my own cooking, anyone got a cheap sauce recipe that doesn't taste like regret?

Honestly the hot sauce trick saved me too, that and a $3 bottle of soy sauce.
