My gas bill dropped $47 after I sealed the gaps around two window frames last month
Used a $9 tube of caulk and an afternoon on a Sunday, and now I'm wondering what other tiny fixes are quietly bleeding my budget dry anyone else got a small repair that paid off fast?

My buddy Dave did something similar with those foam draft stoppers you stick under doors. He put one on the front door and one on the back door cost him like $12 total. His heating bill dropped about $30 the next month. It got me thinking about all the other dumb little leaks everywhere. I check the weather stripping on my windows now like twice a year after seeing his results.

Man I used to roll my eyes at that kind of stuff honestly. I thought it was like one of those things people exaggerate about to feel good about themselves. But seeing a $30 difference from a $12 fix is pretty hard to argue with. It kind of makes me want to go around my own place and see what else I'm missing. Little stuff like this really adds up I guess.
