My neighbor Margaret said to check the grocery flyers before meal planning, I thought she was old school
I always just wing it at the store, you know, buy what looks good. Margaret told me for months to flip through the flyers on Wednesday nights before making my list. Finally tried it last week and saved $27 on my total grocery bill just by planning around what was on sale. The pork chops were marked down to $1.99 a pound so I grabbed two packs and froze one. Has anyone else had a nosy neighbor give them advice that actually worked out?

Man that's awesome she actually gave you solid advice! I wish my nosy neighbor would hand out tips like that instead of just complaining about my grass being too tall. Margaret sounds like a real one, looking out for your wallet like that. Freezing extras is a game changer too, I do the same with ground beef when it hits a good price. Feels good when someone's old school trick actually saves you money instead of being outdated.

Margaret also told me to freeze bread and now I have a whole freezer drawer full of it.
