That time a cashier at Aldi made me rethink my grocery budget

I was at Aldi in Cleveland last week and the cashier told me she feeds her family of 4 on $60 a week by only buying what's on the clearance meat rack. I've been ignoring that section for years thinking it was just old stuff. Has anyone else actually had luck with the markdown meat or is it kind of a gamble?

My buddy tried it and ended up with chicken that smelled wrong before the sell-by date.

Wait, you're telling me there's actually decent meat on that rack? I always walked right past it too. Thought it was gonna be all gristle and half-spoiled stuff nobody wanted. But honestly, after reading that cashier's story it kinda changed my mind. My family's grocery bill is getting out of hand lately. I might have to take a real look next time I'm at Aldi. Gotta admit, $60 a week for a family of four sounds impossible but if she's doing it, maybe I'm missing something.
