Found a use for my old fountain pen ink in my bujo

I was cleaning out a drawer three days ago and found a bottle of dusty blue ink I bought for a pen years back. I figured, why not, and tested it with a dip pen on a scrap of my journal paper. It didn't bleed through at all on my 120gsm notebook, which was a nice surprise. Now I've been using it for my daily headers and it gives the page a little pop without needing new supplies. Has anyone else repurposed old art or writing stuff for their spreads? I'm curious what else might work.

That's such a smart way to use up old supplies. I had a similar win with a half empty bottle of calligraphy ink that was way too thick. Thinned it out with a few drops of distilled water and now it works perfectly for outlining boxes. Feels like getting a freebie.

Seems like a lot of fuss over old ink. It either works or it doesn't.

What a great find. I always feel so good when I use up something old instead of buying new. I did something similar with a set of dried out watercolor pans. I brought them back to life with a little water and now I use the faint colors for really soft background washes on my weekly logs. It feels like a free upgrade.
