Wasted $50 on those fancy bullet journal stencils

I bought a set of those metal stencils for my bujo thinking they'd make my layouts look perfect. First time using one, it slipped halfway through drawing a weekly spread. Ended up with wavy lines and smudges everywhere. The stencils are now sitting in a drawer somewhere. Honestly, a ruler and a steady hand work way better and cost me nothing. Has anyone else regretted buying special bujo accessories?

Wait, you actually had one slip halfway through a weekly spread? That's brutal. I can picture the jagged ink mess and the slow realization of having wasted 50 bucks. I stuck with a cheap plastic ruler and a mechanical pencil for years, never had a stencil slide on me like that. Guess some things are better left simple, lol.

Fifty bucks for a stencil that slides around? That's insane. I got a whole set of them from the dollar store for three dollars and they have little grip pads on the back so they never move. Cant believe someone would drop that much cash on something that doesn't even work right.
