Shoutout to the person who said to check the dates on reviews

I used to just look at the star rating and maybe read the top few reviews before buying anything online. About six months ago, I was looking at a blender on Amazon and saw a bunch of five-star reviews, but then I noticed they were all from over three years ago. I sorted by 'most recent' and found tons of one-star posts saying the new model breaks after a month. Now I always filter reviews to show only the last year before I decide. Has anyone else started doing this after getting burned?

Oh man, that's smart. I got tricked by a coffee maker that way. All the old reviews talked about it lasting for years, but the new ones from the last six months were full of people saying the heating element just stops. I had to return mine after two weeks.

Did you check if the company changed the model number or manufacturing location?
