That $18 ice pack with the gel beads actually outlasted my $90 one from the big box store

I used both on a sprained ankle last month in Phoenix, and the cheap one stayed cold for 3 hours while the fancy one went lukewarm in 45 minutes, so has anyone else found that price tags mean nothing for cold therapy?

Read something about how the gel bead packs freeze more evenly than the liquid ones. Sounds like you found the real deal with the cheap pack.
