I used to think pocket hole joinery was just for quick fixes

My buddy in Phoenix showed me a built-in he made with pocket screws and biscuits, and after 2 years it's still solid with no gaps. He convinced me to try it on a small cabinet project last month, and the alignment was perfect with way less setup time. Anyone have a favorite jig brand for bigger case work?

My buddy's shop teacher swore by the Kreg HD jig for face frames. Honestly, the heavy-duty screws they make for it are a total game changer for anything that needs to hold real weight.

That Kreg HD system piperf40 mentioned is solid, but it's overkill for most face frames if you ask me. A regular pocket hole jig works fine for joining rails and stiles, since they're not holding a ton of weight. The real trick is getting your glue-up right and clamping properly, something a lot of people rush. Those HD screws are beasts, but you're just adding extra cost and bulk for a job that doesn't need it.
