I was dead set against pocket holes until last weekend
Always thought pocket holes were a shortcut that looked like crap on nice cabinets. Then I had to hang 12 upper cabs solo in a tight kitchen in Portland and couldn't get my clamps in right. Tried a Kreg jig I borrowed and it saved my back - joints were solid and hidden behind the face frame anyway. Anyone else come around on something they swore they'd never use?

Wait doesn't a face frame hide pocket holes anyway or am I missing something?

@lindahunt that's a fair point on face frames covering pocket holes, but I still grab the tape for alignment more than hide-and-seek. The tape stops the board from sliding around in the jig, which saves me from crooked joints and frustration later. Once you've cussed out a wobbly piece of pine you'll tape it too, trust me.
