Just found out the original Nikon F had over 1,400 individual parts. Saw it in a 1960s service manual a collector brought in.

Reminds me of taking apart an old VCR as a kid (never got it back together). Some things are just built different.

But come on, is it really that different? It's just a bunch of parts put together. If you had the right manual and enough time, you could probably get it back together. People act like old tech was magic, but it was just stuff made in a factory.
