inHit 500 wedding bouquets this year and my hands are finally learning the trick.
So you found the 30 minute sweet spot? That's huge. I swear by a quick vodka dip for woody stems right before they go in the truck, maybe 10 seconds max. Cuts down on wilting in the heat.

inShoutout to the smithy at the Living History Museum in Williamsburg, I used to think coal was just coal
Forget the fire for a second. The real game changer for me was the cleanup. With my old soft coal, I'd spend twenty minutes after every session just breaking up clinker and digging out the firepot. Now I just tap it once and a solid little puck of ash falls out. It saves so much time and mess, I actually forge more often because the setup and teardown isn't such a chore anymore.

inWarning: I used to think balayage was just a fad
Oh the "balayage can get muddy" line is so true, @rayc89. I've seen some grown-out looks that just look like they forgot to wash their hair for a month. Foils are for people who actually want their money's worth and a clear result, not a maybe. It's like choosing between a sharp photo and one taken in a steamy bathroom. Some stylists just sell balayage because it's trendy and easier to hide a bad job.

inStopped by the old junkyard on Route 9 and realized they've crushed all the 90s cars for scrap.
Plenty of those parts are still online.

inI was using canned air wrong for years and didn't know it
Honestly that's a great point about the fans. It's wild how many little things in tech we just do without thinking, and then find out there's a whole hidden rule. Like how you're supposed to unplug the power before working inside, or not putting a laptop on a soft bed. Makes you wonder what other basic stuff we're all getting wrong because no one ever told us the right way.
