That gravel washout on the 97 near Quesnel almost put me in the ditch

Last Tuesday I was hauling a load of lumber through that stretch and hit a hidden rut from the spring melt, which yanked my handlebars sideways at 80 km/h, so has anyone else found the road crews up there never mark those soft spots until someone actually goes down?

Nope, same thing nearly got me last year, zero markings until it was too late.

bro same thing happened to me a couple weeks back coming south through that exact stretch. I was doing about 70 and the front end just washed out like I hit black ice, scared the hell out of me. Roads up there are a joke with that soft shoulder spring stuff, they just throw some gravel down and call it fixed. I swear they only mark it after someone actually wipes out, feels like we're the test dummies. glad you made it out okay man, that could've been way worse.
