Why does nobody warn you about chain lube on your back tire
My buddy Dave told me to lay it on thick before a rainy ride last spring and I spent the whole next day wiping black gunk off my driveway and pants. Has anyone else had a random tip backfire this bad?

Wipe off the excess after a few minutes" is basically the advice my mom gave me about putting on sunscreen and it turns out she was right about everything. It feels like half of life's messes come from not taking that extra 30 seconds to clean up after yourself.

Lmao Dave set you up for failure honestly. Try using a dry lube next time, it doesnt pick up as much dirt and grime so you wont get that nasty black paste situation. Wet lube is great for rain but you gotta wipe off the excess after a few minutes or it just gets everywhere. I started using squirt wax lube last year and its a game changer for staying clean, plus it lasts longer between applications. Just a heads up though, if your chain is already gunked up you need to degrease it first or the dry lube wont stick right and youll be back to square one.
