Threw $400 down the drain on a "career coach" who just read me LinkedIn articles
Signed up for a 6 week program thinking they'd help me pivot into UX design, but all they did was rephrase my resume and tell me to network harder. Anyone else fall for one of these expensive coaching packages that promised way more than they delivered?

Yeah @the_hannah nailed it, these coaches are just selling common sense.

Oh man, that's such a bummer! It really stinks when you put your hard earned money into something that's supposed to help and it just feels like a copy-paste job. I've noticed this pattern with a lot of these "experts" popping up everywhere, not just career coaches but also life coaches and even some fitness trainers. They take a basic, free formula, slap some fancy words on it, and charge hundreds for what's really just common sense wrapped in a nice package. It feels like everyone's trying to sell you a shortcut these days, but the real work is just doing the boring stuff yourself. Hope you can get your money back or at least leave a review to warn others!
