Remember when everyone said cordless tools would never cut it for real work?
Back around 2010, I was doing a lot of trim work and refused to give up my corded miter saw. Thought the battery ones were just for hobbyists. Then a guy on a big custom home job in Bend had me try his 18V Makita for a day, cutting 6 inch crown. That thing ran all day on two batteries and was just as good. I bought my own set the next week and never looked back. What's something you guys were sure was a gimmick that turned out to be a game changer?

My old boss in Phoenix swore cordless pressure washers were a joke. He said they'd never clean a greasy driveway right. I borrowed a neighbor's just to prove him wrong, and it blasted off two years of oil stains on my first try. Felt like an idiot for arguing about it for months. Sometimes you just have to see the tool work with your own eyes.
