Update on my miter saw station after a fellow carpenter in Boise said my stop block setup was 'a disaster waiting to happen'

He pointed out that my single, long stop block could flex over 1/16th of an inch on long cuts, so I switched to using two shorter, beefier blocks spaced apart for support, which completely fixed the accuracy issue, so has anyone else found a better way to lock down long stock for repeated cuts?

How much flex were you getting on your longest cuts before the change? I had the exact same problem with a single aluminum stop on my old setup, it was maddening trying to get consistent lengths on crown molding. Switching to two shorter steel blocks made all the difference, it's like the whole fence became twice as stiff. I even added a third block in the middle for anything over four feet now, just for peace of mind. That Boise guy saved you a lot of future frustration.

I argued for one block for years, wrong.
