That old seam roller I swore by finally gave out on me

I was finishing a big job in a Phoenix condo last Thursday when the handle snapped clean off my 15 year old Marshalltown roller. Had to use the edge of my knee kicker to finish the seam, which looked terrible. What's a good heavy duty roller that won't break on a hot day?

Ugh that's the worst lol. My old Roberts did the same thing last summer, just crumbled in my hand.

Wait, did it just fall apart while you were using it or did you notice cracks first? I had a buddy whose Roberts started making this weird grinding noise for a week before the handle snapped clean off. Makes you wonder if there's a common weak spot in that model year.

Actually, a Marshalltown is a different brand from a Roberts (they're both good, just different). For a heavy duty one, I've had good luck with the Crain 219, even in the heat.
