Unpopular opinion: power stretchers are overkill for small rooms
I did a 10x12 bedroom in Oakville last week with just a knee kicker and it turned out perfect. Stretched it twice as slow but no wasted time dragging the power stretcher in and out. Has anyone else found certain jobs where the old school way just works better?

It's just like using a sledgehammer to drive a finishing nail. Bigger isn't always better, it's just heavier and takes longer to set up. People grab the fanciest tool because they think it makes them look more professional, but on a simple run like that 10x12 you just need to take your time and feel the carpet. Overcomplicating small spaces makes more work than it saves.

Wait, wait wait... you did a 10x12 with just a knee kicker and it turned out perfect? No power stretcher at all for a room that size? I've been doing floors for over a decade and I honestly wouldn't even try that on anything wider than 8 feet. The risk of ripples showing up six months later when the carpet relaxes would keep me up at night. You must have some serious arm strength and patience to get that much tension out of a knee kicker without wrecking your knee. I respect the hustle but man, that sounds like playing with fire to me.
