Had a barber I sub for watch me do a bald fade last week and he pointed out I was gripping the clippers like a screwdriver instead of letting them float in my palm, so now I’m re-learning muscle memory after 4 years of doing it the dumb way, anyone else have a basic technique they had to unlearn this late in the game?

I bought this fancy cable management kit from a brand called WireFlow off Amazon for 80 bucks. Opened it up and it was literally zip ties, velcro straps, and a plastic channel you'd find at a dollar store. Spent an afternoon routing everything, and it still looked like a spaghetti monster under my desk. Anyone else fallen for these overpriced organizers that don't actually help?

Finally figured out why my desk lamp was giving me headaches after 2 years

I have this cheap LED desk lamp from Target that I've been using for like 2 years now. Kept getting these dull headaches after an hour or two of working at my desk. Tried changing the bulb, moving it around, even got one of those blue light glasses. Nothing helped. Then last week I was cleaning a customer's house and noticed her setup had a warm bulb in her lamp instead of the cool white one. So I swapped my lamp's bulb to a soft warm 2700K one and holy cow. The difference is night and day. My eyes don't feel strained anymore. Who knew color temperature mattered that much for a simple desk setup? Has anyone else had this kind of thing happen where a tiny change made a huge difference?

They used actual pennies instead of tile, coated in epoxy. It took them like 3 weekends to lay them all out but the copper patina looks amazing. Anyone tried a weird material like that for a backsplash?

Was bidding on a commercial build in Calgary last month. Read the contract three times. Looked standard. My buddy who does legal reviews flagged one paragraph buried on page 14. It said if the owner's bank delays funding, we still owe penalties. No prorating for weather or supply issues either. I almost signed it. That clause basically pushed all the risk onto subs with zero upside. Now I check every contract for bank delay language. Anyone else find nasty surprises hidden in their bid agreements?
