That one week in July where my AC filter saved me 40 bucks

Last month during that heatwave I noticed my electric bill was way lower than my neighbors who were complaining. I checked my AC filter and it was clean but then I remembered I swapped it out right before the heat hit. I live in Phoenix so AC runs nonstop in summer. The old filter was so clogged I could barely see through it. I guess replacing it early made my unit work way less hard. Has anyone else noticed a big jump in efficiency just from changing filters on a schedule?

Did your buddy try that yet? Saved my friend Jack about 50 bucks last August.

Man that's rough, I feel you. I'm in Phoenix too and last summer I put off swapping my filter for like two months during the monsoon dust. Thought it wasn't that bad but my unit was running constantly and my bill hit $280. Cleaned it out and next month was down to $210. It's wild how much a little dust can choke the system.
