Tried a reusable grocery bag system for 3 weeks vs plastic bags each trip

I used to just grab plastic bags every time I went to Kroger on my street. Felt guilty but it was convenient. Finally switched to those $2 reusable totes from the checkout aisle and honestly the difference is wild. I've already kept like 30 plastic bags out of the trash in just 21 days. Anyone else find that once you pick one system it just becomes a habit fast?

It makes a weird difference but I started bringing one to work for my lunch things and that helped lock it in.

Yeah, I think it's one of those things where you don't realize how much of a mental reset it gives you until you actually do it... like a tiny boundary between work and home. It forces you to be a little more intentional about packing what you actually need, instead of just grabbing stuff last minute. Once you get used to it, grabbing a lunch bag feels weirdly important, like you're missing a piece of the routine if you forget it.
