Spent two days on a simple facing cut because my old post processor was feeding wrong

Tbh, I was using a program from 2012 on a new machine and the feed rate was off by a factor of ten. It took me 16 hours to realize it wasn't the tooling, it was the ancient code. Anyone else get tripped up by old programs on newer controllers?

Ugh, "wasted a whole shift" is the worst feeling. That slow dread when you realize nothing you did mattered. My old boss used to call it "payroll for existing." Makes you just wanna log off forever.

Honestly that boss nailed it with "payroll for existing." Might as well just have a chair warm the seat and save everyone the trouble. The real joke is we have to act busy to make it look like the time mattered. Feels like the whole point is just to fill hours, not actually do anything. What a way to spend a day.
