Spent $50 on a Udemy course that was just a guy reading the docs

I bought a Python course on Udemy for $50 during a sale. The whole thing was the instructor going through the official Python documentation line by line without adding anything extra. I could have gotten the same info for free. Has anyone here found a course that actually teaches you to build something real instead of just reading the docs?

Has a friend ever tried one of those "learn to code in a weekend" bootcamps? My buddy paid $200 for one and all they did was have him copy-paste code from a slideshow, zero actual projects or problem solving. He ended up learning more from free YouTube tutorials that walked him through building a simple weather app from scratch.

@caleb_gibson totally right, feels like everything now sells you a shortcut that just circles back to free stuff.
