Pulled 6 straight good shots on my $90 setup this morning and I'm still grinning
Normally I'm lucky to get 2 or 3 decent pulls in a row before dialing goes sideways, but Saturday morning I hit 6 in a row with my little hand grinder and a bag of Ethiopian beans roasted 9 days ago. The crema was thick enough to hold together and I actually tasted blueberry instead of just 'coffee,' which never happens for me. What's the longest streak you've ever had where everything just clicked?

Ha, six in a row would have me checking to make sure I didn't accidentally grab someone else's grinder! My record is probably three, and one of those was pure luck because the beans were so fresh they forgave all my mistakes. Half the time I finally nail the grind and then realize I've already burned through the good part of the bag. By the time I get it dialed, I'm out of beans and back to square one with a new roast. You better go buy a lottery ticket today, because that Ethiopian bag clearly picked you.
