Shoutout to the $11 melitta pour over cone that beat my $65 brewer in a blind sip test
I kept reading that you need a gooseneck kettle and a fancy dripper to get a clean cup, so I tried the cheap plastic cone with a #4 filter and water straight off the boil. Poured it next to my burr grinder setup for my wife at breakfast, and she picked the cone batch both mornings without knowing which was which. Is there something about the thin paper filters or the faster flow that I am missing, or have I just been paying for gear this whole time?
