I had to pick between going to a big con in Atlanta or saving that money for a full year of Marvel Unlimited.
I chose the digital sub to catch up on 3 years of X-Men stories I missed, but man, I really miss the con floor energy and finding those weird back-issue bins, you know?

That Dragon Con energy is a real thing, and you can't get it from a screen. I did the same thing last year, skipped a trip for a streaming service to binge the whole Krakoa era. The stories were great, but I still missed digging through long boxes in some dealer's corner, finding that one weird issue from the 90s. The convenience is awesome, but it trades away that specific kind of fun you only get in person. It's a solid choice, but it's okay to feel the loss of the other option.

Krakoa started in 2019, not last year. But yeah, you're right about the long box hunt. That smell of old paper and the weird finds are just gone with a click.
