Reading comics in store vs. buying floppies online...
I used to always read a new issue standing in the shop for 10 minutes before deciding, but now I just pre-order everything digital after missing out on a big storyline last spring. Which way do you think gives you a better feel for the story, flipping through paper or scrolling on a screen?

You said "give you a better feel for the story" like we're talking about choosing a life partner. It's a comic book, man. I flipped through a copy of X-Men at the shop last month and it took me about 90 seconds to realize I didn't care what happened next. You're not missing some deep emotional connection by reading online versus paper. If you like the writing and art, you'll like it on a screen too. Missing a story is annoying but that's what collected editions are for. It's not that deep.

Funny you mention that, @thomas_roberts, because I actually feel the same way about picking out a good sandwich. I guess I just get hung up on the physical experience of holding a comic, but you're right that if the story is good it doesn't matter how you read it. Maybe I'm just too old to break the habit of flipping pages while I eat my lunch.
