Finally stopped fighting my drysuit leaks after a guy in Port Alberni told me this

I used to just keep diving with a slow leak, thinking it was normal to have cold water trickling down your back after an hour. Then this older diver at the marina, maybe 60, watched me suit up and said "you know those neck seals are $30 and take 10 minutes to swap right?" He showed me his spare kit right there. Next day I changed it and my dives went from 2 hours to 4 without shivering. Anyone else spend way too long just accepting something broken?

My buddy spent 3 years using a stove with a broken igniter before he finally bought a $5 lighter. We do this with so many things, not just gear. We just accept the annoying grind instead of fixing it.
