Why does nobody talk about how long virus scans take on infected networks?
I've spent whole afternoons just waiting for them to finish.

My old laptop used to take forever to scan for viruses. I finally cleared out a ton of old downloads and temporary files, which actually helped a lot. Closing every single browser tab before running the scan made a noticeable difference too. It still wasn't instant, but it stopped feeling like a total crawl.
