Been bullfloating wrong for 10 years and a guy in Denver set me straight
I always floated with a slight tilt forward thinking it helped the cream come up faster. This old timer at a supply shop in Denver watched me for two seconds and said 'you're trapping air behind it' and showed me how to keep it flat. Has anyone else had a basic technique click way later than it should have?

Took me 15 years to learn not to tilt my float... felt like a total idiot when it clicked.

15 years? Oh man that's rough but honestly I woulda done the same thing, I bet it felt amazing when it finally clicked though. I could totally see myself tilting for way too long before realizing what I was doing wrong and then feeling super dumb. Glad you got there eventually, better late than never right?
