I finally pushed back on the 'wet cure everything' rule on a big job in Phoenix

Last week we poured a 4000 sq ft warehouse floor and the foreman, Mike, wanted to wet cure for a full 7 days like always. I argued that with the 110-degree heat and the specific mix we used, a spray-on membrane cure would be better to control the hydration rate. We did it my way and the core samples showed better early strength with zero crazing. Has anyone else had a good result breaking from the standard wet cure in extreme heat?

Wait, you argued with the foreman and he actually listened?

Yeah, the water itself can cook the slab if it's too hot.
