I spent 10 years thinking chemtrails were just contrails until a pilot friend laughed at me

I was sitting on my porch in Phoenix last August watching those long trails crisscross the sky and thought nothing of it. Then my buddy who flies cargo planes told me normal contrails dissipate in under a minute and those persistent grid patterns use fuel additives for something else. Anyone else have a moment where someone with inside knowledge flipped your whole view on something?

Did you use to roll your eyes at sky color theories too? I definitely did, but after reading some detailed breakdowns of how the lighting shifts with the in-game time and weather patterns, it really clicked for me. Now I see there's a whole layer of thought put into those little details that I was just ignoring before.
