Why does nobody talk about having to sanitize your shears between every single client

I was at a salon in Portland last month and saw the owner just wiping blades with a dry towel between cuts. Picked up a cheap ultrasonic cleaner after that and now I run my tools through it every time. Anyone else notice how inconsistent sanitizing is from shop to shop?

Honestly I used to be one of those people who thought a quick wipe down was fine. I was at a busy shop where we were all about speed and I figured a spray between clients was good enough. Then I saw a video of what actually grows on those blades under a microscope and I nearly threw up. Now I have a little UV sanitizer on my station and I run my shears through it every single time, no exceptions. It takes like two minutes extra but the peace of mind is worth it. The inconsistency between shops is scary though, some places are basically just spreading bacteria around.

@davis.mia ever check your clipper blades for rust from the UV? That's another angle nobody talks about.
