I thought 2FA was overkill until last Tuesday
Honestly, I used to roll my eyes at anyone pushing two-factor authentication. Thought it was just a hassle for no reason. Then someone got into my email because my password was in a breach I didn't even know about. They tried to reset my bank password and everything. What finally convinced you guys to turn it on?

Did you ever have that moment where you just sat there staring at your phone, feeling totally dumb? Tbh I got hit with a similar wakeup call but it was with my gaming account, not my email. Some kid in Russia got into my Steam account and spent all my wallet funds on CSGO skins. Now I have 2FA on everything that offers it, even my dog's vet portal. It's annoying until you realize how fast things can go sideways.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) on a dog's vet portal sounds like overkill to me. I've been hacked twice and never bothered with 2FA, and the worst that happened was a few spam emails sent to my contacts. Honestly, adding that extra step to every login just makes me less likely to actually check my accounts, which probably puts me at more risk in the long run.
