Warning: I just wasted $30 on a fancy habit tracker app that made me feel worse about my progress.
I spent 3 weeks logging every tiny win in it, but the constant charts and streaks just turned my small joys into a stressful checklist, so has anyone found a simpler way to track this stuff without the pressure?

That bit about turning small joys into a stressful checklist really hit home. What kind of habits were you trying to track in the first place? I wonder if maybe some things just aren't meant to be logged at all.

Tracking my water intake felt like a part time job. I had an app that wanted to know if I drank a cup of tea, a glass of milk, or just plain water. Then I tried logging "moments of gratitude," which just made me feel guilty when I couldn't think of anything by bedtime. The final straw was rating my mood on a scale from one to ten, three times a day. Who has the energy for that?

Rating your mood on a scale three times a day? That's the part that got me. I can't even decide what to have for lunch most days, let alone assign a number to my feelings before noon.
