Beating the ache in my shoulders after lifting injectors

As a diesel mechanic, I often lift heavy injectors and it really hurt my shoulders. Last month, I started doing shoulder rolls during my breaks. Now, the sharp pain is gone and I feel stronger. I can work on engines without wincing every time I reach up. It's a small change, but it improved my days a lot. What do you guys do to handle the physical toll of the job?

Those giant injectors bow to the power of a few shoulder rolls, huh.

Totally get that, those small moves add up fast. I got into the habit of rolling my neck and wrists on my breaks too, just a minute here and there. It started helping with the constant reaching and twisting I do. Now it's just something I do without thinking, and it takes the edge off for the whole shift. Such a simple fix for a nagging problem.

Notice how the best fixes are always the simple ones we overlook. We chase fancy gear or complicated routines when the answer is usually just moving our own bodies in a smarter way. It makes me wonder what other daily aches we're putting up with that a two-minute stretch could solve. Your story is a perfect example of working smarter, not just harder.
