Got called out for my 'aggressive' typing in a co-work space in Chiang Mai
I was in Punspace Nimman banging out code and this older guy from Sweden just taps me on the shoulder and says 'you sound angry, are you?' I had no clue my mechanical keyboard was that loud. Swapped to a quiet linear switch board the next day and three other people thanked me by Friday. Anyone else ever get feedback on their noise level and actually change something?

Swapped my old MX Blues for a set of silent Alpacas on a foam tray. The difference was night and day - dropped from a loud clack to a soft thud. Nobody in my local hackerspace complains anymore and I can actually hear people talking to me without my headphones on. Actually got two other people at my desk to swap their clicky boards too after they saw how much quieter mine got.

Oh man, @rayc89 that's exactly what happened when I did the same swap last year! I had my MX Blues at home and my wife kept saying it sounded like I was typing on a typewriter. I put in some Boba U4 silent tactiles and added a foam layer in the case. It totally changed the whole feel of the board. Now I can actually game or type late at night without waking anyone up, plus the sound is way more satisfying in a weird way. That smooth thud is addictive once you get used to it.
