I dropped $800 on a 'nomad hotspot' that barely worked outside the US

It was a total waste, I mean the thing cut out constantly once I got to Lisbon and I had to buy a local SIM anyway. Anyone have a real fix for good internet in Europe that doesn't cost a fortune?

Ugh, that's so frustrating. Those global plans never seem to work as well as they promise. I just get a local SIM card as soon as I land now, it's the only reliable way.

Yeah @wendy_garcia16, you're right. Local SIM is the move. Those global plans are just expensive and slow.
