Lost a $500 client in Bali last week because of my backup setup

Had a deadline for a recurring client in Sydney. Power flickered at my coworking space in Ubud around 3pm. My external drive corrupted during shutdown. Got a replacement drive from a shop near Monkey Forest but lost the files. Anyone else run into power issues abroad and find a solid UPS that travels well?

Saw a video where a guy plugged his whole home internet setup into one of those. Router, modem, and a small switch all ran for like 4 hours during a blackout. Definitely not enough for a desktop PC but for keeping wifi alive its solid. Heard some airports are weird about lithium batteries in checked bags so the carry-on thing makes sense.
