My first coworking space in Bali was chaos, now it's all quiet library vibes
Six months ago I was typing away at a hostel in Chiang Mai with a dude playing ukulele two feet from my face. Now I work from a rented desk in a shared office in Canggu where people actually whisper on calls. Has anyone else had their productivity change this fast just by switching locations?

The ukulele guy is a rite of passage in Southeast Asia. I started in a coworking space in Ubud where a "sound bath" workshop happened right next to the silent zone every Tuesday. Switched to a membership at a proper office in Seminyak and my output tripled. It's not just the noise though. The vibe of a place physically changes how your brain works. A quiet room makes you treat work like work. A hostel lobby makes you feel like you're on vacation.

Got a coworking membership in Ubud last year and thought I was above the whole "vibe matters" thing. Used to roll my eyes at people who talked about work energy. Then I spent two weeks in a place that had a drum circle every afternoon. Couldn't focus at all. Moved to a quiet spot near Sanur and it's night and day. Now I actually believe the room tells your brain what to do. Never thought I'd be that person but here I am.
