Had to choose between a mobile ramp and a permanent one for my front porch

I went with the portable aluminum ramp from Lowe's for $280 because I wasn't sure if I'd need it long term, but after 6 months of wrestling it in and out of the shed every time my neighbor visited in her chair, I wish I'd just poured concrete and been done with it. Has anyone else regretted the temporary fix over the permanent one?

Three times a week for two years I did that. The shed was only about 30 feet from the house so it wasn't too bad, especially once I put those little furniture sliders under the box. Honestly I kinda liked it because it forced me to actually use the thing instead of letting it gather dust in the corner. Plus my mom got a kick out of seeing her old stuff get a second life, you know?
