Vent: my cable management week turned into a nightmare
I spent last Tuesday rerouting every cord under my desk with velcro ties and a $20 power strip from Target. By Friday, my cat had knocked half the cables loose and the zip ties I used snapped on the monitor cord. Do you guys think velcro is better than those plastic clips, or am I just doomed to retape this every month?

...and just like that my whole system went to crap too. I switched to velcro after the third time those plastic clips snapped on me, and honestly it's been way easier to adjust when stuff inevitably gets moved around. You're not doomed, just get the big roll of industrial velcro and run it along the whole desk edge, then you can pull and reset anything in under two minutes.

Wait, did you try the sticky cable raceway channels that mount under the desk? My buddy spent like four hours on his setup last winter, got it all perfect, then his roommate's cat decided the dangling mouse cord was a toy. He swore by those plastic clips for months until they kept popping off in the heat. He finally caved and bought a roll of heavy duty velcro tape from the hardware store, ran it along the back edge of his desk, and now he just wraps each cord in a little velcro loop. He told me it took him maybe ten minutes to redo everything after his cat went on another rampage last week. Honestly, the velcro route seems way less frustrating than dealing with those brittle clips.
